About

I’m Ed Schultz, a writer, teacher, and believer living in long-term recovery. My work flows from one central conviction: God has been present in my healing the entire time. I just didn’t always see it.

For years, I tried to manage life through control, self-reliance, and surface-level faith. Recovery disrupted that. It taught me how to tell the truth, how to listen, and how to let God meet me where I actually was instead of where I thought I should be.

What began as personal reflection turned into writing. Writing turned into teaching. And over time, those pieces became a body of work focused on recovery, Scripture, and spiritual growth that is honest, practical, and grounded in real experience.

I write devotionals, biblical studies, and reflections that speak to people navigating addiction, healing, faith, and everyday life. My approach is simple and direct. I value clarity over polish and truth over performance.

This site exists as a home for that work. Whether you are in recovery, supporting someone who is, or simply searching for a faith that works in real life, my hope is that something here helps you stay open, stay honest, and keep moving forward.
